Day off!!

Yesterday was a day full of pain. A road ride and two track sessions, I think we've earned our 'day off'. Not a complete day off of the bike, still have a 90 min spin to be doing in the 'fresh' Swiss weather.

Both track session yesterday were based behind the motor bike. With the first session being from 2pm-4pm and the second from 6pm-7pm.
The first session was for points race training, with myself and Martyn taking it in turns to lead out sprints a lap and a half out. 8 of these in total.
Second was a session that I'd done last week on my own. With the bike belting round on the blue you have to attack it, and try and take a lap in 3-5 laps. On 50x14 I struggled big time and the bike was having to slow in order for me to make the catch. Martyn was going well, even with Andy ramping the bike up and taking it down below the blue, he was still comfortably making the catch.
So 3 more days of training left before we easyjet ourselves off to Poland for the Europeans. Training is savage but going well. If all goes to plan and we manage to avoid the dreaded illness that is floating about, we should hopefully get the results we need in Poland.
