First day on the track

Had our first visit to the BGZ arena this afternoon. After cycling the wrong way down a dual carriagway, and then cycling 6km to a track that is only 500m from where we're staying, we had arrived.

A long progressive warm up and a few low gear jumps, and I was ready to do my first flying 200m here in Poland. With double disk, and aero lid I couldn't afford to be too far off the mark today. However, I didn't wear a skinsuit, rode a smaller gear and I still have a couple of days rest left in the bank before the big day! I managed a 10.9, only 0.1 away from target.

Our allocated track time was from 3-4.30 which we shared with the Spanish, Polish and a few other small nations. We were lucky,as the the Polish only had a few of their riders attending the session, so we had lots of time and space to work. Unlike the 4.30-6 session. Where Russia and Belgium were out in force with all of their riders. Madness! Riders everywhere!!

I think it was clear that I was the youngest/most immature rider there, as I appeared to be the only person excitedly going round the place with my camera! Here are a few snaps and videos from today;
