I'm currently relaxing on the balcony of our hotel soaking up a few rays (definately won't get a tan).
Today is a rest day for me with a gentle spin.
I've had a nice morning, with a quiet late breakfast and walk down to the local bike shop to look at some fancy gear.
The last few days have been tough on the body and I think I'm feeling the effects today with a sore throat last night carrying over to this morning. I'm topped up on vitamins so hopefully I'll be ok!
Adding up the training over the 9 days we've done more than 30 hours on the road and then 4 track session on top of that. Definately a good block to set me up for the road season.
Really enjoyed my time out here. Martyn giving me a kicking since November has definately made me a stronger and fitter rider and strangely has made the winter fly by! He'll be glad to see the back of me now until next winter!
My first road race is on Sunday and I think I'm going to suffer big time! I've done a lot of zone 2/3 work and some top end stuff on the track but there's nothing that really sets you up for that first lung opener of the year!
Although I'm ttrying to find a place at the World Championships next week, I'm pretty sure I won't be going so all the best to Martyn in the omnium and Caroline in the pursuit!
Adios
